  2. These guys weren't born in the patriotic era so they don't have an attachment to the event. I had a second cousin on the Oklahoma so I still observe Pearl Harbor Day. There is one still up by DenK and likely HRP.

You don't have to be born in the "patriotic era" (whatever that is) to have a great amount of respect for the thousands of men who died at Pearl Harbor 75 years ago today. The people who keep reporting these threads as off topic and the mods who delete them are unpatriotic jerks in my opinion who were raised very poorly and who should be ashamed of themselves....

When I was a kid in the early 60s, one of our neighbors was a Pearl survivor veteran. Helluva nice guy. He & my oldman (Aleutians vet)were buddies, tipped a few when they got a chance. I was too young to know what a 'thousand yard stare' was, don't think the term was coined yet. But I think I witnessed it a few times.
Pearl Harbor Day observed here, and a thank you to all veterans, posthumous & present.

I posted a thread yesterday about a 55 Chevy BelAir that was deleted at 4 am for being off-topic. I don't understand exactly what their agenda is. If someone can explain, I'd appreciate it.

Also, I agree that you don't have to be old to be patriotic. Thank you to all who have served and are serving now.

Geez ............. This is a site dedicated to old hot rods and customs. There are plenty of sites dedicated to the history of WWII. I don't go to the WWII pages to discuss 9" rear-ends, and I doubt they come on here to discuss Hirohito's tophat.

If not for wwii, where would hot rodding be today? Remember our vets and the sacrifices they made and still do today.

If you feel like criticizing someone about their patriotism, then chances are you don't have a clue about what this country represents.... about what freedom is... and about what guys like my grandfather (who gave his life as a tail gunner in a B17 in WWII) fought for.

Why don't we cater to threads like this? We actually do until they turn political. We typically allow one thread for images, thoughts, etc... We just haven't had one that didn't yet. Do a search... you'll see plenty of past threads on this very event.

But man... some of you guys need to just get on Facebook and not look back. This is a forum dedicated to traditional hot rods and customs.

Have a problem with this or the way the forum is ran? Send me a convo and we can talk...
