What happens when paint feezes?

    I've heard that your not supposed to let paint freeze. Why not? What happens to it when it does? How can you tell if it's been frozen? Just wondering.

    pop the lid,

    the **** will look all separated and unuseable.

    couldnt you just mix it up again?

    freezing is a physical change, not a chemical change, so i wouldnt think it would change the chemical makeup of the paint?

    all the ingredients are still in the can, why wouldnt they just mix back up?

    What kind of paint?Oil ? Latex ? Automaotive ?

    Some of my 1-Shot got frozen,takes longer to dry.

    Automotive paint. What kinds of freezing temps are we looking at? Below zero, 40 above, what's the safe temp?

    And it's not me. Black's not really my color.
