    Yeah,

I know you have already met Kirk.

He has done a good job with the Gazette but he had a head start from the last editor to get him going. :) :)

Too many to count............Hmmmm. Gray Baskerville ( I know, dead), Wally Parks, Uncle Norm Grabowski (almost did), Pete and Jake, not really a 'hot rod' guy but Troy Trepanier (wait..already did!). There's a bunch of these guys.............................

It'd not only be cool to meet some of these guys, but just to be on the 'scene' back in the day.

How about these two fellas? Met them both at the California Hot Rod Reunion.

O.K., I know - Tony Nancy is gone now, but TV Tommy is still around.

Always a star-studded group at the CHRRs, and most all of them are easy to approach. I don't have photos of every legend I've had the pleasure to meet there over the last few years, but the list is long, and believe me, I'm far from having any special connections.

It's a "must attend" deal - at least once - for every HAMBer.

I would have to say Carl Casper. My father talks about being in his garage in the 60's, and being amazed by his creations. His first car, "The Exotic Empress", was named after my grandmothers beauty shop. There are many others, but he just happens to come to mind.

I have been lucky enough to meet and chat with Bill Hines and the late Gray Baskerville.

Here is Bill Hines in the Spacetruck and Larry Alexander and I looking at Lunar Lander pics.

I suppose I should have taken pics of more of them, but here is my dash. Since this picture was taken I had Starbird and Winfield sign it too.

I have been fortunate enough to meet a lot of the greats. It is just that damn Hedgehog and his legendary rod that eludes me.

I sometimes dont get the whole famous thing with movie stars, etc. etc. some one askes me once how i would act if i met [insert random movie star thats not ron jeremy here].

I thought about it and it doesnt much impress me so i guess it would be like meeting someone else for the first time, doesnt do much for me.

I would rather talk to the no-name guy that built a and engineerd a car from th eground up than talk to someone who was famous or considered a legend just because.

but if i had to say 1 person..ok 2 people... in the "legend famouse"....id have to say Wild Willy Borsch because id like to shake the hand of that man who could drive that thing with 1 hand...haha. ad evel knievel.

  27. Already met all the legends I need to, of course I didn't know that they would be legends at the time, they were just friends of the Ol' Man.
I even know some that will be legends someday, but they are in the same boat except they are just my friends.:D
