What I brought Home For The Holidays

Yup, chopped & dropped, the only way to go.

 

All kidding aside, I bought it with the intention of selling, and listing it on the board. I've always thought the little buses were cool and I knew the history and when this one was coming up for sale. Between the wife and I we've known a few of the members of the original band. I must admit that it's getting harder to stick to the original plan each day I look it's way. A few picks after unloading.

 

Imagine all the surplus you can get in the ol' girl. I love a Suburban but come on, it's a bus!

 

Is that a vote for keeping it?

Bus looks cool!! I would keep it and use it as my Sunday go to Swap Meeting Rig?? The Misses would love it LOL

2 Heads are always better then one when chopping. Besides just think, at one time there were 12 heads licking the windows in it.

 

Keep it ! There are many potential ways that this bus could come into play. The first one that I thought of was, a small rolling studio if you are into landscapes, or small paintings of any kind. Another one that might be workable is a vehicle for swap meets. I like the rolling studio idea. Good Score !

Chris...good timing on the bus deal...today's the 55th. anniversary of Rosa Parks not moving to the back of the bus!! I'll bet you still make Buzz ride in the last row though!!

 

I rode a school bus too. It wasn't short but it should have been. Damn it hurts when you get your freezing cold ears thumped.

 

this is my dads studebaker short bus, we have a ton of fun in it.

not sure why someone would want to chop one of those. kinda makes the back end a bit useless.

 

i talked to a rising sun org. Yesterday & told him bout the bus. He told me there was'nt no dope on that bus & if ya find some it ain't his (anymore).of course i believed him ..he is a car salesman now. (wacko)

 

The 3 original members we've known over the years really don't strike me as the type NOW When the wife and I cleaned out the bus it smelled more like the extra ****** that came with it. "That's my story and I'm stickin to it"

When I was little, I always wanted to lick the windows with the other kids, but what with the helmet and all, I couldn't reach .....

 

OK, I give! I've had some good offers on the bus, but it's staying here!! Tail# 00-42756. In my day we were able to call it "balls-42756", but now with the politically correct military it's 00-42756, Call sign "SB/Buff".

 

I miss being able to call airplanes "balls-serial number". If they returned with a MX problem it was a redball. Stupid sensitive nancy girls. Glad to hear the bus is staying. Does it run?
