Nice shots Scooter. I haven't had a chance to do any post on my shots yet, but it's funny, we have a lot of the same angle shots. How many options do you have at a crowded show though right? Saturday was nuts.

I've got a number of shots from last year's Rod Riders banquet of the Pontiac uh...liner..thing, but for the life of me I can't find them online. I'll have to look for them on my laptop at work. The interior is fantastic. Everything, tubes, brackets..everything, is drilled out. Hopefully it'll be there again this year.

Wow. I was there too, but somehow the show looks even better through your pictures. You really have talent.

Anyone got pics of that red 37 ford that was outside? I would like to find out the particulars of it if anyone knows?
    Thanks.

Scooter- great pics; we took a lot of the same. It was great meeting you, Holly, and your "sister". I can believe that everything was Brandi"s fault, and also agree that the outdoor show was outstanding - great cars tucked away in corners, etc. Dan Sobieski's (sp?) black pickup is a beauty; I spent some time walking around (and around) it. vic

  10. Beautiful photography! What kind of camera / set up did you use? I remember the light inside the buildings is a *****.

Holy moly! Thank you very much for the words! I'm glad you guys like the pictures. I'm having a hard time with some of them because they have a lot of "noise" in them, but I'm just happy you guys got some joy out of them. All I really care about.

The camera is pretty old. It's a Sony DSC F717. It's not an SLR, but has some nice lenses built in. It's only a 5 megapixel camera too. I've had it back to Sony 3 or 4 times in 2009 because the CCD kept going out that THEY installed. It's acting like it's going to happen again. It winks a couple times while it's on and the pictures tend to have a little extra noise in them when it's acting up. We have a Nikon in the house that needs a new processor and I'm hoping to switch to that. A person doesn't really need a fancy pants camera to take great shots though. I know for a fact there are several great photards on this website that use a "point and click" for a lot of their pictures. In fact someone told me the other day that someone on here still uses and old Brownie film camera and his stuff is AMAZING!

No excuses... Just glad you guys liked them. Wish I had more to share. If you haven't been to this show, it's WORTH coming here to see it!

i'm no expert, but i agree that you don't need a 25 megapixel camera to get good shots. steady hands and the right settings make all the difference in the world....

    very kool!

This thread is proof it is not the camera that takes the pictures, it is the Eye.

I think that one also sends a strong statement of "less is more". Seriously awesome truck! I think it's strange how so many people just walk by trucks like this and don't give it a second thought.
