    Me!

    Let the madness begin!

We stumbled on Hot Rods by JSK when the trailer blew a tire. Jeff was super cool and offered us all beer.

    We made it! Austin RULES!!

I got my picture taken with Heide Van Horne. She’s super cool. It was pretty funny while she and my wife stared at each other's naughty bits. Life is good! She liked the Hot Rod Hucksters shirt my wife had on, and my wife liked the naughty belt buckle she had on. I gave her some of our band stickers and a Pileup postcard too. Maybe she'll fly out!

Went to the South Austin Speed Shop party, but I guess we were too early cause no one was there yet.

Good to see my Rattletrap buddys from Indy.

We went on super late at Trophys. It was fun though.

    Lil Bobby Bleed rockin' out.

The little motor that could. When we left it had 80 miles on it. Now it has 2400+

I only had minor issues the entire trip. Had to fix a taillight and a headlight. The rumble seat loosened up. The oil gauge is seeping. Had to change leaky header gaskets. Changed my oil in the hotel parking lot.

It was a blast. I met so many people and got to meet lots of HAMB friends for the first time in person. Austin is so cool. I want to go back separate from the Roundup and see more of it.

We byp***ed Dallas and took 34 through the country. It was the best drive of the whole trip!

The look on these old guys' faces when we blew past them was priceless.

Wow, Dr Pepper in a gl*** bottle!

Pacey's ****** was acting funny. After me and Olemuleskinner went to get him some oil, I took some pics, and found wild onions growing. They were tasty!

Last meal of the trip in Joliet. It was the best homemade root beer EVER.

Enjoyed getting to see your car in-person @ the Saturday show... that thing just exudes cool. Perfect patina. Went back a couple times to see if you were around so I could yap about your car...

Thanks for making the trip... I love 36 Fords!

Oh, and I wanted to catch yall's show, but with Lil' Slide in tow, I knew better than to keep him out that late. (Voice of Experience speaking!) Maybe next time...

Good pics. Love that '36. And I was wondering whose Cameo that was...

  8. Chad, it was so cool to meet ya man....and that '36 looked awefully righteous. Glad you enjoyed yourself.

  9. I'm pissed I missed your set at Trophy's. Too many beers in the hot sun checking out the Blasters (I can't belive that the park half emptied out before the Blasters, WTF?! I talked to Phil Alvin for 20 minutes after the show) and too much beef at Ironworks after.

Actually, I'm really pissed that I missed Heidi an Horne.

How come I didn't get to see Heidi?

The funniest thing was when I was looking at the cars at Trophy's. I was looking at the red model A and then I realized that it was my old car! Ha Ha Ha

Chad...hope you've learned if you are in a hurry...an Interstate is the way to fly...but for scenery, old towns, tons of old cars in those small towns and a laid back cruise home...a two-lane is the ONLY way to go...

2400 miles on a new motor is the best way to break it in...did that once on a zero mile 400" SBC ...Denver, CO to Memphis, TN...zero problems.

That's pretty damn funny! Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you it is red now. hahaha :D

My ears were still ringing half a day after I got back. It's never bothered me how loud it is, but I guess 12 hours straight is a bad thing.

Hellfish was getting sleepy and started weaving and going too slow about midnight Monday. So I dropped back and put the hammer down and blew past him. Scared him awake! :D

Thanks. Yeah, I saw some of them from further north than us and waaaaay too nice to have driven anywhere.

This guy was from Iowa and was cool. He blew by us north of Austin. Said he got stuck behind a sand truck and his fenders looked like it! What a drag.

What a pretty lady... That alone would have been worth the trip.

Glad to hear it went will. The '36 looks great. Hope I can make the trip in a couple years.
