What idiot would drive to TX with 80 miles on the car?

Cool pics! Glad to hear it was fun and there were not any major problems. My sister moved to Austin 2 years ago to be with her new hubby. I was there for Christmas - a cooler place than I thought for the middle of Texas.

    A low test-driven vehicle/long drive story:
I drove to Miami FL from IL in 1991 in a 80 Fiat Spyder with a rebuilt engine with about 150 miles on it (welded crank, misc other engine parts due to very low oil pan and stupid brother). After about losing a wheel due to loose bolts (no studs on that hub) and changing my shorts (try finding a metric bolt in farm country on sun pm) an hour into the trip, I made the very nervous trip (every bump/vibration - "hey, is the wheel gonna fall off?") with some plain metric bolts and drilled out acorns to seat them.

Any more pics of Heidi??? What was on her buckle?
