I'd like to sell them and have been trying. I have 567 in total and I want to sell the whole lot for $567.
That's a dollar a piece for them and included in the total are some rarer rodding type books as well.
And quite a few of the magazines are complete year sets.

    So far no takers.

Tried donating a collection of early '90s Mini Truckin' at the local prison.
    They weren't interested.
Something about "cruel and unusual punishment".

I have thousands my old collection stops in 1964. The street rod stuff just hangs around.I give them away to young guys at flea markets as the resale value of any thing newer than 1970 is pretty much null. Years ago you could get a couple a bucks each for Street rodder but that crowed has dried up. Im planing of decoupaging the inside of my vintage Scotty trailer with a bunch of them.

still dont feel like i have a solid solution for the mags i have been saving since roughly 88. i know that when i start looking through them all i will want to keep most of them. dont even want to try and figure how much money is tied up in them, thats why i cant just throw them away. they are everywhere!!!

I already got rid of many many years worth with your #7
Gave them to kids and left in the break room at work
Gotta help start others on the hobby

after a move to a different state and trying to find room for my magazine collection i kept my rod and custom books and a couple of other titles.i just could not bring myself to trash the rest of them. i ended up donating 20 boxes of car magazines to a local high school auto shop. the shop teacher set up a reference library of how we built them in the good old days .my gun magazines were donated to an older guy that liked reading . and my assorted other titles were donated to a disabled guy that needed something to keep his mind occupied. felt good to unburden my garage shelves of about 70 or so boxes .

Any magazines you want to give away,,drop 'em off at hospital waiting rooms or any other place you have had to wait for hours with nothing but lame magazines(people actually BUY golf magazines) for your reading pleasure.. Your own doctor and dentist could likely use some literature to entertain the children.

We have our own swap meet in May, Red Deer on the first weekend of May.

I have not considered the swap meet route to sell my collection as I woud rather have it go in one shot rather than try to sell it piecemeal.

My experience with swap meets is that the magazines get pawed through and half destroyed before they sell, and sellers end up dragging more home than they sell.
