I have a lead on a 35 Chev that is suppoesed to be complete minus the steering wheel. It has a 55 Chev rearend in it but, comes with original rear axle. Drivetrain is out of chassis but, is included with the car, body is supposed to be rust free. I have not seen it yet he is going to call back in a couple of hours and then I can go look at it, just need an idea of value as I don't want to pay too much. Thanks for the help! Wayne
That's a wide open book to me. 1st, I'd decide after I look at it what it's worth to me. Then I'd look at it finshed and think about how much work and money it will take to get it there. If you're getting it to resell later you need to leave yourself space on the price so you do better than break even. If you're building it to keep , then reread the 2nd and 3rd sentence again and then decide if it's worth it. It's almost impossible to give you an idea without pics of the car and good descriptions. In other words we need alot more info.Take pics and post em up
All I know at this point is it is a 1935 Chev 2dr sedan, I know it is pretty vague in the description but, that is all I have for now. I will try to post pics later after I look at it. Thanks! Wayne
$125 a ton. My book says a parts car is worth around $600 and a complete car in need of complete restoration around $2000. The next range jumps to about $3000 and if it was perfect like new mint it would be around $14K by this book. But their #1 condition there's usually only one or two cars in the entire world that nice.
Is it a humpback, or does it have the spare on the back (harder to find) You will have lots of fun with the body wood...
I have a friend who has an original '35 Chev coupe. The condition is that looks like a nice, five year-old used car that only needs a polish job on the original black paint. It seems to be one of those "one or two in the world" you mention. Does your book say what that might be worth? Thanks in advance.
