Just got an email from a person who has a front clip for a 1941 Willys. The fenders are thickly coated with paint, but without any rust. the hood has an 8" X 10" hole in it (presumably for a scoop). Does anyone have an idea of what they are worth? Sorry I do not have any photos at this time, but soon I hope to have some. I know it's really hard to give an estimate without photos, but I am looking to see if her offer is a good one. Any ballpark figures?
Yes, It all depends if is complete. Good unpitted grille? Center section good and not all smashed in? Fibergl*** or steel? big difference there. Like said earlier. Coud bring 2500 to 3500 depending on condition. I used to have some of these cars.
What is she offering it to you for? If you don't end up buying it, PM me, I know someone who most likely will.
Here is the hood....have no photos of the fenders, yet. The only three pieces she has are the fenders and hood.
Hood is pretty screwed up. I have one less screwed up which I would take $800 for and it has no hole cut in it. The one you show has had the nose peak cut off and the inner bracing is completely wrong. I wouldn't go more than $500 if i really had nothing else to work with. I believe you can get a brand new and accurate reproduction for around $1800....
