What is a Double Whitewall????

    I am looking to get tires soon and I can't tell what the difference between a whitewall and a double whitewall. Maybe this is obvious, but I don't understand... [​IMG]

    Whitewall on both sides.

    2 "whitewalls" on same side? Double striped?

    Both sides. This was common in the early thirties, when it was still possible to see both sides of at least the front wheels.

    somebody here recently posted a picture of a swap meet score that showed a pair of double whitewall cheater slicks.

    I recall see tires in the early sixtys that had 2 very thin white walls on the same side of the tire. HRP
