Seems like you initially posted this comment before actually researching the topic and seeing it has been beaten to death on here. It almost seems like you are trying to pick some kind of fight in defense of the car you built that no one has even seen, or said anything derogatory about! No one has judged you OR your car. I actually do remember when the term was coined in the early 90's, by respected dudes in the hotrodding community...who build great cars(namely, the Shifters). It has become something different and negative from what it was. Anyway, my car is an unfinished traditional hot rod and may never get finished...which is how 90% of the cars on HAMB are. Just relax, enjoy building and driving your rat rod, and try not be beat up too many people.
