Projects What is a Stromberg 59?

    I searched the archives but didn;t find an answer. My 39 foird flattie has a carb marked "model 59" and 15/16 on the side, and ford script on the passenger side.
    IT also has fittings on it for a gas heater. Should I keep it or find something different?

    Your carb isn't a Stromberg. More than likely a Chandler Groves model 59.
    Later became known as Holley...

    I looked it up in the Mac's catalog and it looks like a FORD
    59A-9510-A used on 46-48 fords?
