hate to say it...but the 38 is cool, but the 32 is what it's all about.

Go for the 32. More "History" is out there. :)

The 32 was sold to a high dollar guy that bought three cars from Gas Monkey. The deal was truck Sunday with Gasmonkey in hope that the guy that bought the three cars including this one which was (Clarks old Coupe) would let it go back for the trade. Turns out he really wants it so my deal fell through tjhis afternoon. The car is great the way it was but I was just not 100% sure I wanted to keep it that way so I was really just banking on a good body and gonna redo the suspension, more of a stock type suspension, chopp it ,and finish it. It was great I just dont know about that great to just bank on a body. Like I said everything happens for a reason and I like the 38 and am happy with it so I will get back to work on other stuff and keep my eyes peeled back in hopes keeping both. The 38 will not be advertised we just stumbled upon the offer of a trade. And wanting a 32 Coupe perked my eyes open. I know to many the 32 is the cooler of the two and I have to agree 100% but when the deal falls the deal falls. It just was not meant to be.

    Rusty,
Wow, what responses......and I actually read all of them when I came up with "the deal went south"....hummmm, but here goes anyway.
My comments were in agreement with Reggie's, along with my smart *** comments about it being a "p***ing fad for me" since I have had the 5w for close to 40 years:eek: . As to room, you sat in mine and it was plenty big for you:cool: . As to comfort, you know where mine has taken me:D, and I'm still not tired of the "short wheelbase hot rod".
I may know of a tudor body that may be for sale to the right person, since Danny eluded to the fact that is the real end product that you are lusting for.
And, I really like the 38, but you know how I am about "late models"....hahaha

I doubt it will be the last 32 that comes your way.

Good luck with the 38 and don't sweat the small stuff.

He is for shure interested in the tudor. I have already told him to use my extra frame and extra parts to get it going . Just find a body,

Rusty, you did the right thing. You'll get a duece, those things come around.

I lost a lot of sleep a year or so ago, when I was looking at buying Clarks Deuce. Had the dough ready and was just shy of hooking the trailer and heading north. I ended up p***ing on "Clarks Coupe" for that right there, it will forever be known to me as "Clarks Coupe". The next issue of Traditional Rod & Culture was in my mailbox the next day with the spread on "Clarks Coupe" it was like a sign for me.

I'll have a deuce one day, but I'll build it like I want it.

...damn Rusty, you must be emotionally drained by now. What a roller coaster ride. Everything DOES happen for a reason, and I also hafta concur with InDaShop on the fact that the 5w would always be known as "Clarks'' coupe. I'm actually looking for a tudor for my next project too, so I'll keep an eye out for one for ya.
