I picked up an Edmonds manifold the other day, no idea what it fits. The only markings other than the brand name is LIN52 stamped on the bottom.
[ QUOTE ] hmm? Y-block? could be? [/ QUOTE ] Nope, if it was Y block the ports would be on top of one another, not next to each other.
i'm willing to guess poncho too. There's no bolt holes around the center ports, like it's meant to use those cast iron hold-downs that pontiac liked to use.
48 Hemi's right...Lincoln. I have a pic of a dual quad but it has all the same ports, risers, water inlet etc...That would be a rare one, nice score
Yep, '52-4 (and possibly through '57) Lincoln OHV. I have had two of those amd they were easily sold in Hemmings. Not sure what the smallest CID was, but they had 317 and 368 CID's in some years/app's. Also came in trucks and also '57 Merc Mauraders. The engine series ran through '57, so perhaps the intake fits all of these engines from '52-57. Not sure if there were differing deck heights or port openings like on Olds rockets.
I agree sell it to 48HEMI I thought I was going to have to buy A dual carb to 4 barrel adapter from suedesled haha
I'm going to go way out on a limb and say that the Lincoln was part of the Ford Motor Company "Y block" family, so technically Y block was a good guess.

Saith one HAMBer: "I'm going to go way out on a limb and say that the Lincoln was part of the Ford Motor Company "Y block" family, so technically Y block was a good guess." Well, not really. Except in the same way that the flathead is in the same family as the latest DOHC Rustang motor, so that ANY Ford engine might have been a good guess. For me, the LIN 52 said it all; it was a Lincoln manifold. So I'd say that this proves that there was **** produced for just about any motor. It's just the finding that's hard nowadays. Cosmo

By engine family I mean it is part of the first generation OHV group of engines produced by FOMOCO. They may not interchange that many parts but they share a common design concept. They replaced the flathead family and were replaced by the "FE" family. Windsor, Cleveland and the current Modular motors are other Ford family groupings. The original Chrysler, Dodge, Desoto Hemis were replaced by a new engine family. A 366 Chevy tall-deck bus engine would share few if any parts with a 454 Vette engine but they are within the same engine family. The 366 would not share parts with the 350 small blocks either but they arent related. That Lincoln is more closely related to a 292 Y block than a 302 is to a 460. Thats all Im saying, and it was meant in a joking way.
Can't be a Y-block it oils way to good! I was surprized when I pulled the valley cover. Not bad at all for a 50 year old motor
