I have a 38 ford frame and have 40 ford straight axle with split bones and want to do spring behind set up I would like to mount spring in stock crossmember now how do I set it up for attaching the axle to the spring? I have seen someone take a perch and weld it to the side of the wishbone behind axle and mount spring to it up like that but I didnt know if there was other ways to mount it up, I would like to do it once based on someone elses experience rather than try something that wont work based on my lack of experience of building from scratch.
