OK so whats the deal with whats the best color posts here lately. The best of any color is the one you like.

Never the less I like periwinkle. Tell you what I don't like is Richard Petty Blue (yes it is a color you can buy), nothing personal I met him once and he treated me like he knew me all his life, the color just makes me queezy.

I really like the baby blue metallic that you are finding on Lexus SUV's and Ford cars in the past few years. I'm going to go that direction on my '32 when it's ready. Really nice color and I appreciate that I can see it on a car in person and not on a swatch. I don't trust swatches.

www.restorationshop.com has 2 shades of light blue. One is Diamond Blue and the other one is Glacier Blue (not to be confused with Glacier Blue Metallic, which looks different) Go to the site and check it out. Their prices are resonable.

i painted some fenders on a '48 ford ice cream truck once that the customer wanted powder blue. we ended up buying white and adding blue to it to achieve the right shade.

I used "Spinnaker Blue" on my 48 chev. pickup. It's a solid light blue that was used on Ford Crown Vics , ******s and Aerostar vans from 1984-88 or so.

There is Ford "3-B" blue (from the early 1970s), simply the best light blue I've ever seen on any car, and there is also "Bahama Blue", which is a darker blue but looks great on cars.

  20. is too, I like a good cheese pizza so don't get me wrong but a good garbage pizza that's where its at. :D

OK back to opinion on paint color, choose one and I'll try and like it. My personal choice leans towards blues on the lavender end of the spectrum, but past that I really prefer blues that are so dark that look black when the light isn't hitting them.

    But as I stated periwinkle.

Your best bet is to go down to your local automotive paint distributor/mixer and look through his sample books.Computer screens can't tell you what a shade will actually look like. Light blue is my favorite color, specifically the one that came on mid 50s Fords, check it out in the sample books.

I had a 69 Chevy shortbed that was Sky Blue. Nice color. A girlfriend had an 80 ford truck that was also light blue.

B1 sky blue for a '73... I'm very partial to it. Nason has a nice fleet color that is very close in single stage.
