Rodders Journal, Rod & Kulture , are the two that I would subscribe to. Most of the others don't have enough truly traditional cars to make them worth subscribing to and you have to take them issue by issue. Im too old to buy into the "lifestyle" rod rags and prefer finished and shiny as apposed to rusty and crusty. I keep trying to get my rigs out of the rusty/crusty stage and sure don't need to buy books showing how to build them that way. I've Got the new Kustoms Illustrated sitting on the laptop table. It's a great pictorial of nice traditional customs but no how to articles at least in this one.
The Rodders Journal!!! Then HOP UP!! Lets see..... i would say Rolls & Pleats. Last would be Kustom Illistrated. To me the rest***** and are not worth the money.
Rod and Custom is good and super cheep if you subscribe, I like tech articles even if they are about how to install someones overpriced kit. Pictures of nicely engineered cars that are home built float my boat, lots of trash, that I would not take a free ride in are to often seen these days.
