    Ryan,
We have some more information for you. One of the people who
supplied us with "relevant" email addresses is actually a registered
user of your message board and has been for well over a year. We were
sent a link to your BBS that explained the way your email addresses are
    available for consumer use.
    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/faq.php?Cat=#email They also
explained that your board along with many many others on the internet
are not properly "email address secure". I guess this is up for
interpretation. I do know that InfoPop has taken care of this problem
    in newer releases.

Just to let you know, we have removed all addresses we received
from this person, that was 257 addresses, from our mailing list.

Again, we had no intention to upset anyone with our mailing. This
will not happen again. Another note, out of the 257 addresses we
received, 93 were already registered in our BBS system and have received
our mailings many times in the past.

I see a couple of your faithful have registered on our website to
flame all of our forums. I guess we asked for it.

Any way, Sorry again for the inconvenience.

I replied asking who this member is... If they refuse to give it up, then we will just take it out on Rodder.com... He gets to choose his poison I guess.

Rodder rap sounds like a bad rap song...

i did get an email aswell, replyed with "REMOVE" in the topic..

i hate spam , 70% of all mail i recive to one of my addys is spam, i have 2 email addys, one i never got any spam to but thats because i do not post it public

one note though, to everyone to think of

If someone m***post emails to friends etc and use all the addys in their adress book and just use the "CC" option, all adresses will be shown, = easiser for them to get out in the public
if you ever do m***post messages do a BCC (blind carbon copy) and you won't see what other people got the email!...

    I just got a response from: webmaster@rodder.com

They are refusing to give up the name or contact info of the member that apparently gave him the email addresses. Due to that, I am forced to hold 'webmaster@rodder.com' responsible.

Spam (from people like webmaster@rodder.com) makes me ill. The ignorance involved just amazes me. They actually PAY people to send SPAM for them... It's like giving some kid $5 to kick you in your nuts... webmaster@rodder.com is just asking for it.

This reminds me of the rules of spammers:
    0. Spam is theft
    1. Spammers lie
    2. If a spammer seems to be telling the truth, see rule 1.
    3. Spammers are stupid
    4. The natural course of spamming is to go bankrupt.

  12. Ryan,
Now why would someone like webmaster@rodder.com want us to have his/her meail addy?
    They must want mail. [IMG]

What makes me giggle is how they thought they wanted HAMBers there in the first place. Haven't they ever been here? This ain't fer kids or old folks who can be offended easily.

Scotch brought up a good point..

I checked em out about a year ago...They do NOT want our kind there.

I remember one post where a dude was bent way the hell outta shape that the lower hose that his radiator manufacturer reccomended did not fit his crate motor.. He was all "up in arms." I mean he freaked slap the **** out. He was gonna sue somebody. I am NOT making this up.

Also, one dude tried to organize a "drive your car to work day." Sounded like a good idea to me. (I drive my **** EVERYdamn day.) Well, enough guys posted about how thier insurance might freak out and rush hour traffic might KILL them that the topic was squashed.

That tells you what kind of dudes hang out there....NOT that there's anything WRONG with nerds, it's just not really our demographic.

Spam or no spam, these are the guys that used to get the **** beat out of them in high school, so PLEASE, leave them alone. They have been picked on enough. The fact that they can't BUY coolness should be punishment enough.

    Love everybody...-Abone.

OK, let me get this straight... webmaster@rodder.com said someone on here sold us out. And webmaster@rodder.com is not going to tell who gave up our Email addys. And you are holding webmaster@rodder.com accountable for this persons actions. I think I oughta inquire to webmaster@rodder.com and log into HIS forum. Keep his moderator busy... I wonder if webmaster@rodder.com is the only moderator or if webmaster@rodder.com has help.

It would be a shame if someone signed webmaster@rodder.com up on some unique websites.

Do you think webmaster@rodder.com likes hermaphrodites?

    When I E-mailed webmaster@rodder.com , I also included a picture to show my displeasure. I hope I didn't use too much bandwidth.

I don't know... it sounds like webmaster@rodder.com is just aching to be Saved!! Maybe we should sign him up on some of the ******** religious nut web sites? [IMG]

But what I don't get is why somebody who has been here for over a year would do something like that... that's just like asking to be tied to the car and dragged if hey're ever discovered.
