    In the world of these cars when they were new, the term was "VALANCE"
    Anything other than that is is not politically correct. As if we care. But valance is the correct answer to the gentleman's question.

    Bingo!!! It's my car pictured and I left them on for the era of build. And to cover the brake rods and frame a bit. Personally I love them on there and the way they look. To each his own I suppose!

    Oh, also I saw it mentioned about saddle tanks. I don't have them, but I could see why you'd want to cover them up. And the car is a '30 :D

    Late '30s/ early '40 styled fenderless As with aprons are cool.

    I think this is Loudpedal's car. I love it.

    Yep, but nobody took any notice. So, how does it feel knowing that you and I know our stuff and out of 38 posts, only you and I are correct.

    Lazy is the only real correct answer

    he didnt want to take some of the bolts out of the body mounting to take the running board Valance off.

    yeah but it's an A bone and they were 1st built in 28.
