I picked up this old aluminum " INNER - LINE "oil filter , the guy told me it was for a chevy six , but I don't know what the hell it is , , the close up pic shows the 3 bolt mounting and the oil feed hole , I think that that will be the best hint as to what it fits , any info would be great , and if it doesn't fit any of my motors I will probably offer it to some one who can use it . thanks , John
the angle where it bolts on makes it look like it would fit a V8 , this isnot for a flathead ford is it?
the second picture looks like it would mount up to the spot where the oil distributor goes on a 216,it's that little sheetmetal cover on the left side of the block under the manifold,i think there's a bypass valve under there too.the angle would be to clear the manifold.might be worth something to the lowrider guys,some of them still run babbit-pounders.
