Found this at a yard sale...

    Has a 9 ⅛" lens.

    Forgive the wife's decorations!

Firetruck? Boat? It looks like it would mount to the side of what ever it came from.

I'd guess American, c.1920, and made by an independent component manufacturer as supplied many of the smaller carmakers operating at that time.

Mid to late teens is my guess, as drum headlights came into fashion in about 1920

  7. It does look like a searchlight...... probably 'boat'. I can see how it could easily be made to pivot but not to tilt. (?)
It doesn't look like an automotive-type mount, but I'm no expert. If it did go on a vehicle as a headlight, maybe that wrap-around, over-built, 2-point bracket is to eliminate any headlight "jiggle".

If I ever saw an early Henway headlight, that's it!

If it were a searchlight it would be on a swivel. Looks like a right hand headlight to me, and one that some restorer out there would really like to have.

Not positive it's a Caddy.....but looks like it could be the same maker.
