What is this ? Remote Relocate ?

HAd always thought this thing was for relocating oil filter, part # 3639 and that it was an Offy # but it's not. Also on closer look no kind of seal for an oil filter . Is it a dress up cover for something ? It is 5 inches in diameter

Looks like it may be an adaptor for a remote oil filter that is missing the threaded part that would screw into the block Ford possibly. You would pull out the threaded factory fitting, screw in the longer one, use a gasket supplied for the block side and hoses off the adaptor to the other part of the remote.
