    My buddy ran across this tool that belonged to his granddad. I'm sure some of you know what it is and it's use, neither of us have a clue.

    Never seen one before, but my guess is it's an early vise-grip type clamp for sheet metal??

    How far do the jaws move from the open to the closed position? Does it have any special shape on the face of the jaws? Could it be a tool for crimping the clamping pieces for banding straps?

    I think T Hudson has it. I think he's used one before. Down-the-road it will open wide enough to put your finger in or better. The jaws are just flat. I was going to take another picture but my buddy has lost it again, he's reorganizing his garage.
