The car club I've started hanging out with have this rear tub on a racer they are building, but no one has a clue on what it is.

Is anyone able to determine what it's from?

It's a lot like a 1928 Olds. But not exactly.

  5. Thats what i thought as it,s quite big ( my dad had a 1925 Olds Phaeton in 1958 ) but a bit of a search came up with 1928 Cadillac or La Salle which are virtually the same. As a kid i played in a 1934 La Salle wreck in the Aussie bush. Actually the photo Bear posted looks a little distorted/stretched out. Then again the spoke wheel is still round. Maybe it,s a Coachbuilt Aussie body.

Looks almost like 1928 Pontiac back end with that extended beltline..... but not quite.
