What is this?

Says 51 Merc on the back but I don't know what its for.

 

Id say heater vent or a fresh air vent like in the kick panel....what did i win......

 

You don't sound 100% confident in your answer. If you can provide evidence of this items intended use, then I will consider rewarding you. Do you like meatballs? Ha!

 

They go on the vents up under the dash. It is most likely called a deflector or diverter. So you can somewhat direct the air from the vent or heater where you want it to go.

 

Merc. interior fresh air vent but on mine, the air slots are on the bottom looking at the flap ?

 

That seems to be the concensus. It had crossed my mind but it didn't make sense why it had a "flap" you could open in addition to the 2 open "slots."

Does anyone have any pictures of it installed?
