Technical What is too rough to repair when it comes to Ford front axles?

  2. You're gonna give us Ohio boys a bad name.

    Anything and everything is repairable. The effort it takes to do that oneright just isn't worth it because there are so many good originals still available.

    Maybe in 100 years or so when good originals are fetching over 2 grand and that was the best to be had it might be worth it, but not today.

    If it was free and a 32 or drop axle I'd use/ fix it ...

    No way should that axle be used in a vehicle.
    You don't have to be a metallurgist to know that.

    GOD is probably the only one who knows how long that thing has been in the ground. Err on the side of safety and get another one.

    Whats the front axle do anyways? Anything important?
