Start anew with a different name. Never admit you drive an integra nonetheless modify them. focus on the hot rod aspect of yourself (if your even looking to start a hot rod?). Intros belong on their own post in the introduction forum. And, uhh, If you do that you should be able to avoid a lot of dogging.

PS. were not talking about EFI computer controlled "hot rods" that have a tweed interior and pastel twotone paint jobs with "neon light" grafix breaking the colors up. Billit also belongs inside an engine if it can be found anywhere on the car. Cast and forged work just as well and are cheaper 90$ of the time. And by custom cars, we mean Mild customs and/or 60's style customs. anything newer than say 1970 shouldnt be made a custom. thats pushing it too. If it werent for cars like continentals, the date would likely end around 64...

Screw it. Lurk for a week then try doing what I suggested. Itll give you a better idea of the do's and dont's around here.

Better yet, be yourself and DON'T be ashamed of the fact that you mod Integras.

And if anyone has a problem with the fact that you do, and yet you also have a developing interest in tradional rods & customs, tell them to FUCK OFF.

    Welcome to the HAMB.

Why don't you other FAGS grow up & get a life.

lol dont worry i am NOT a ricer

my daily is bone stock(with some rare factory goodies), and the autoX is soon to be powered by a B20z bottom end(JDM CRV engine) and a b18C GSR vtec head(and a bunch of other goodies) and will be done right, no ricey wings kits lights none of that stuff. and yes the DA9's are the 90-93 integra 2dr non GSR models.

and i do actually have a subscription to Ol' Skool Rodz.

i do plan on picking up some type of rod in the near future, i have always liked older cars and the rarer the better. i might pick up a old Hudson Truck by this time next year(just happen to know where one is sitting) which would be a fun project.

I wont harass you for being into ricers (anything foreign and modern around here is a ricer). But please, don't bring it here. We don't care about them...and even if some of us do, those members should respect the fact that the vast mojority of us don't want to see it here.

you're into old cars? cool. hang around...

oh, and what you were just "lol"ing at is what EVERY new member is supposed to read. it's meant to help you better understand what you're getting into. I'll asume, since there was no official intro, that you never read that in the first place.

someone must of cared because they asked, but yes i am into old cars, i just choose to drive a car that happens to get 30+ mpg with these $2+ gas prices and a car that has parts that are fairly cheap and rather easy to get, compared to older car parts which cost an arm and a leg usually and thats when you can find them.

actually yes i did read it, i lol'ed because it is kinda funny partially because of this
    ummm yeah

Thats the point I was attempting to make with my post. Granted now that I read it, It sounds worse and more harsh than it did in my head... Theres a time and place for everything. This is the time and place for traditional rods and customs. I could say its cool that you like to use a reliable (in most peopels eyes) car as a daily, but this isnt the place for it ect. but I think you get the point already.

And although I havent been here for very long, this place has seemed to get less harsh. I mean a LOT less harsh. Some kids used to cry at night because of this place.

WTF is an AutoXcar? My Flathead powered HOTROD is way fatser than yer Jap-powered weiners and gets 32 mpg to boot! And that's beatin' the crap out of it. My daily driver battleship has a good 'ol AMerican built (right here in Flint) V8 uner it's 20ft. long hood. It gets 26 mpg and could haul both your Jap weiners in the back.

    ya'll are crazy

btw those are the cars i "currently" own, nobody ever asked what cars i have previously owned before everyone started bashing me. and my car is actually just about completely built in the states, most of which was in Ohio, so i dont know where you get ricer from that.

    like posted before
i am sure there are several people on here that have newer Buicks and Cadi's or even a Taurus maybe a Tahoe or a minivan as their family vehicle that they drive everyday. but yeah whatever, go call Brock Yates a ricer then he is only one of the best drivers and most knowledgable car guys alive.

and i did already post that i planned on buying an older and quite rare(probably more rare than most of yours) vehicle in the near future, but i guess plans dont matter to any of you do they. beimg twenty and in college = very little to no spending money so i have to save up before i get anything pretty much

You guys sure are helping the young guy get interested in Hot Rods EH ?
So the kid drives a Rice eater.

My son drives a rice eater but still likes to look at this site and thinks some of the rods are cool. We enjoy it together a lot and he wants a old truck some day ( 55-57 Chevy or Ford)

Maybe the Iowa kid will sell one of the ricers and buy a old ride and make you guys happy.
    Jeezzzz.

Hang in there kid and enjoy the old cars on here.
Not many will share your ideas on your daily driver so best to stay in the closet on that one.

Keep sharing your stories of the cars you are working on at school south of DesMoines.

I like him. I think we should keep him.

He's fiesty. He's a gear head. He likes the older stuff. So what if he drives and modifies newer stuff also. (sounds like a hot rodder to me)

"yeah, but this is a traditional forum..."

You guys asked for an intro... he just mentioned what he is working on in an intro... he didn't shove it down our throats.

Plus he has worked on some older stuff to boot.

    I say welcome aboard.

Just don't play up the Ol Skool Rodz :) (and don't tell em if you like VWs)
