i just got these at a swapmeet for $15. i was thinkin they're either olds or plymouth/dodge?anyone got an idea?thanks Creepy
..are you sure, though?cuz all the 59 dodge caps i've seen had a little bit different center..kinda a ribbed cap..or am i just thinking of the lancers?thanks! Creepy
I duh know - the pix were taken at the La Mesa (outside San Diego) cruise night... If I see the dude again I'll ask. they are damn cool, arn't they.
[ QUOTE ] wow, where can you get those spinners??? [/ QUOTE ] Same swap meet, the other end of the table, the expen$ive end!
I picked up a mint set of those caps at a local swap meet for 60 bux..maybe i paid too much..oh well. Don't know what i'm gonna use em on, but i thought they were cool. Rat.
does anyone have a pic of just the hubcaps (like the ones i have without the bar thing in the center) on a wheel?i was thinkin about gettin some wide whites this week and puttin the caps on.thanks Creepy
What you have are the Dodge 59 royal hubcaps. The catch is they should be full wheel caps. That means you will have no rim showing, they go all the way to the tire. they should clip to the outer most part of the rim. The ones i had would not fit 15" rims. They were made for Dodge wheels. Have you tried them on your wheels to see if they do fit. These caps that are on my 59 ford are caps that came out in 1962 as aftermarket caps. They are a kind of copied from the lancer caps. Believe me , I have researched these caps when one flew off . These are quite pricey. There was a guy at Pomona swap meet that wanted $185 a piece for them. They are being repoped now. The only difference is in the center is two checkered flags. Most people think that these were Impala caps.. I hoped this helped some. These are mine
well,i was really wantin a picture of the caps i HAVE on a tire..not the ones with the bars..i havent tried them yet,but i'm pretty sure they'll fit.. Creepy
