Hello, The similarities are there, but, no fender or skirt chrome bars on any photos I had. The above photo shows a show car and a daily driver in their respective forms. You be the judge. Jnaki Other than that small detail, it does look like the black photo of the sedan I took several weeks ago... YRMV
Just saw this local Fleetmaster, imported from Canada. Is this where the idea for the trim pieces came from ? I don’t know much about Chevy’s……
That looks like a 1947 or 1948 Chevy, which did have those fender trims standard. It may be where the man in the first photo got his, I"m guessing he used the trims from the rear fenders.
I have those 3 strips of fender chrome on my Cadillac and those hubcaps look like Cadillac too. Look at Abe Lugo avatar picture above post 3 I believe and look at his hubcap and you can see the three front strips too that I am referring about.
Skirts are from a 1937-1938 model, or at least, the moldings are. Front fender trim could possibly be '41 Cadillac as Fuzzface mentioned, here they are on my car, although my right front fender is missing the bottom one in this pic. The '39 Chev may be using Cadillac rear bars on his front fenders.
On second thought, the Cadillac strips are all nearly equal length and are a bit too wide in comparison to the '39 Chevy picture. 42-48 Fleetline fender moldings are way wider than what's on the '39. Not sure what the source of those front fender pieces are. I think that's the look they were going for, but not the source of the pieces used. Neat old picture, though. Looks like a Fulton SunShield visor on there.
