  2. Typical after market mirror. Can be mounted there or on the top edge of the door. Available many places.

I had to rotate this. I just stared at the photo not knowing what I was looking at. Some missed spelled NASA rocket did cross my mind for a second. :) IMG_5485.jpeg

The one in the old pic is an earlier design with a straight arm instead of the angled one. The angled one is designed to mount to the top of the door and hang down, the old ones were meant to mount down low on the door post (as shown) and also the arm was a bit longer. The angled ones were more for looks I think, the old straight/long arms afford a bit more adjustment and actually work better.

This one is probably a better approximation of the one in the first photo.

The pin strip goes around the mount. There are two holes. I guess I could fill the holes. And let it go.

GM offered a peep mirror. Seen on pickups. Found one inside a door I was removing parts from. It had GM logo. Only one I’ve ever touched.

Add me to the list that says those mirrors ****. Those old 60s era door mirrors that screw into the top of the door would be much better mirrors, if you really want to use it as a mirror you can actually see something through.

You can’t see much but, I can see enough. The p***enger side works well for backing out of the garage.
