Technical What Model A cab do I got here? Late 31?

I got this on a trade and will probably keep it and build it. I'm diggin' it, but I think I need a new cab back unless someone can save this one?

I didn't know they had a solid roof like this... I figure it's a Late 31 cab? Is that right?

 

Yes, late '31 had the indented firewall where the fuel bowl comes through. Nice score.

Steel top is a "Late '31" feature, I think the also had the wide bed at that time. Bob

Yep, August 31 or later. Should have metal roof bows and a steering column support off of the dash rail instead of the gas tank.

 

Looks like you have a brass dash panel in there too. Bob

 

Nice! I wish my "late" 31 had the steel top too....it's really more of a "middle" 31.... wide bed, indented firewall, and soft top.
