Guy gave me this steering wheel. Nice wall art for right now. Anyone have any web sites that deal with old steering wheels or knowledge?

Man that was quick! I was thinking 49 but didn't know how many steering wheel options there were then.

It's not the same style as the one in my '49 so it kind of threw me off. I'm wondering if it was an option back then if you wanted a horn or not?

Probably just a "standard or deluxe" type thing...or a budget model or luxury model.

    This what yours looks like?

Maybe the steering wheels were like the finder skirts, '49's and 50's were compatible, '51-'52's so on a so forth.

Yep, they're right ... identical to my 1950 Chevy.
('cept yours doesn't have the horn ring duct taped together!):D

There's 3 different '49 wheels & 2 horn rings. Your horn ring is '49 DeLuxe only, wheel is '49-'52

score!!! Thats good stuff! My horn ****on on the bottom of the column. I want to take and switch the rings around so that my horn will be located on the steering wheel.
