What motor/trans do you this is best in a falcon/comet?

  1. LOL I own a B&M hydromatic ( as well as a couple other modified slush boxes) and I know that 3 peddles is nonsense, pay attention I can't see the extra peddle in my rearview mirror. :D

I know that it was never a parameter but to be honest I am not a big straight axle guy on under a modern body nor am I a fan of the MII it is the lazy man's friend in my book ( unless of course you buy a Pinto and do it the hard way). In a falcon you are almost limited to a small block just because of packaging restraints or an inline. Almost being the operative word here, I think that one maybe could modify the shock towers and make a big block fit. I would sure give it a whirl if I had the chance. :D

I am not sure if anyone had mentioned it but if we are really thinking out of the box maybe a 6 cylinder cammer ( think Pontiac here) or a slant 4 ( like in half a V8) in a pre square body falcon or comet would be a lot of fun and an eye catcher at tech inspection (or the gas station).
