This weekend I was lucky enough to find "The Worlds Ugliest 50 Ford" I was told that the guy spent over $7,000 in body work. Its kinda like a bad song that you can't get out of your brain. I keep seeing it over and over.....

    Enjoy the pics!!

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Thats the one. I forgot to show you one of the kustom treatments that realy sets the car off.
Check out the '50 cut outs in the scoops. Can it get any worse?

    Happy Trails,

I think that place is pretty amazing. I plan on stoping at Bill Daniels' the first time I take the finished roadster down to Joplin. I wonder if he'll remember me at all - the frame under my car was bought from him about two (or three?) years ago. I'm sure it was easy for him to recognise I knew very little but REALLY wanted to build a hot rod so he just let me hang out for quite a while and check out his stuff... gave me a mini tour, showed me a few things he did on his flatty powered roadster...gave me a good deal on that frame and some other parts too. Don't think I had even found the HAMB yet.

Damn, that whole lot is full of some pretty cool cars. Isn't there a late fifties lowered Buick, a nice red shoebox, and is that Nailhead powered '40 Ford truck still there? It's unspoken - on the way to Joplin my wife just reaches over and holds the steering wheel when we pass his place on the curve so I can crane my neck to see it from the highway.

Daniel Motors is located just north of Carthage, Missouri on Hwy 71. He has been in business for many years. He usually has more than one shoebox Ford in stock. I'm hoping he didn't build that one himself. The access road he lives on is the original Hwy 71 two-lane. If you are interested to see what life was like before they built the interstate, take his road on in to Carthage. Try to count the chunks out of the two concrete bridges.

    I saw worse (only once!)

At BTT50's last year there was a 49-51 MERC with a later model thunderbird/cougar front and rear end. WOW, it sucked. Thankfully I dont have any pics.
