model A sedan; with or without fenders; mild horsepower (322 nailhead, for instance); 4-speed; heat/air. shiney paint, but not so high dollar that it would inhibit being driven anywhere/anytime. would drive the wheels off of it and use it for a daily driver. roadsters/coupes may be more traditional hot rod fodder, but a sedan has a back seat so more than 2 could go together.
