  1. Found my whine…seems these tensioners and the one inside that causes me to pull the cams, etc. last about 25-30k miles is all…

She drove her 56 pickup on the Rt 66 run from San Diego To Chicago not to long ago:cool:

  10. She seems to go someplace car orientated every day, always busy.

  11. Almost there… Just have to put exhaust back on, bleed the brakes, put wheels back on, and should be done.

I see long hours ahead on this one... Needs to be completely rewired , the cooling system needs work and the engine although new runs pretty crappy.

How's this for OT crap? 1989 Tracker Panfisher 16 with a 25 horse Evinrude and stick steer. I rebuilt the trailer, lower unit on the motor and hydraulic jack plate. Then I had a competent welder fix all the leaks. That was earlier this spring. Then summer came and my health faltered a little so I haven't done much more to it. I need to run new wiring, install a new steering cable and put the interior back together. Shouldn't take more than a couple years to finish it! And no, the trucks in the background are not mine, but they may be available.

  15. Finally came in the house after a test drive. Everything we had apart and put back together seems to work…so, bonus! Still more stuff to fix, but that should have been the hardest thing. Everything else is interior cosmetic stuff from gorillas taking things apart without having a clue how to do it.

  22. Sometimes wonder why I taught my boys to drive standards considering all the broken parts it seems we are dealing with regularly. Although, this one was more a Chinesium problem from what I see. So, built a better replacement considering we weren’t smart enough to save the original GM part when we put a new clutch master cylinder in a while back. Not sure I have ever seen a hydraulic clutch pushrod buckle and break quite like this…

What do you do with your "work van" when you retire and no longer need a work van?
You add 20" rims, JDM wheel flares, ground effects and an aftermarket WXR wing (narrowed 8 inches).

I don't know. 330 is what I'm guessing,; Q-Jet on it was optional.
