Jeff, are those the air cleaners that Andy Kassa? ran on his coupe. (May have been the Chili Cavallo coupe also, I think it was on the Little Duece Coupe album)

No, not yet. Tomorrow is the day. (yeah, right.) It is still over in my brothers garage so maybe I will get the pic and the car tomorrow and kill two birds with one stone. GREAT score on those air cleaners!

The reason I,m puttin a 55 nailhead 322 in my 31 ford coupe is, I came across a 1953 Edmunds 2X4 cast aluminum intake manifold that will only fit the 264 and 322......... I don't think there's another one I've been able to find or hear of........ Let me know if anyone has seen or heard of another........... Thanks

On my Model A, I have a Cragar 4x2 331 Chrysler Hemi Intake, 4 OLD original HJ 'frogmouth' scoops on the 4 Strombergs, a Cragar dual point distributor, '57-58 Chrysler 300C adjustable rocker valve covers, a Speed Gems transmission adapter for a Muncie that switches the side the starter mounts on, an original Mor-drop axle, and it's about to have a pair of 16x11 magnesium Halibrand 'medium window' wheels on it that came off of one of Mike Kuhl's dragsters.

That's pretty much it for the hard to find speed stuff. Although there are some Ford parts on it that are pretty scarce these days too.

  8. I've got a Buick bombsight circa 49-50 that I found in a junk shop. Might not be rare in the US, but any Buick stuff is kinda scarce here in Kiwiville. It's going on the hood of my 55 Plymouth.

4x2 For a short deck DeSoto Hemi, too bad I have a tall deck. If someone has a short deck motor or tall deck intake I might be interested in a trade

I had one at one time, but sold it. What I really wish I had is the Edmunds 2x2 intake for Buick 264-322 that I saw at the Rhinebeck show about 15 years ago. He wanted a lot of money for it at the time, though....$75!!!

I guess pretty much any of my Olds stuff is rare down here, I have sold or traded the OL396 manifolds I have had over the last couple of years but held onto the Offy 3x2 for Rochesters (which has a set of J2 carbs mounted to it, don't ask me how I stumbled across that manifold and carbs down here).... and an OL496 in case I ever manage to get 4 early ford carbs together.
The manual bell housing and flywheel are pretty rare in these parts too, thank god for other folks divorce sales......

  12. The Olds head (mine is actually a Chev version off a Truck, cast on 5-9-21) has the same size inlet & exhaust valves. I have taken the valves out of the 3-port head so I will compare them to the '28 tonight and let you know the difference.

Also the '28 motor is quite common, a lot of the earlier single port Chevs have had a '28 motor transplant due to the single port heads cracking.
    A comparison....

Well let's see. How about a mid 1930's Eddie Edmunds water heated two carb hi-rise flathead ford intake with two Edmunds air cleaners like the ones shown above on the olds carbs. Some Roamer Racing cylinder heads on the same flathead and a crusty culver city Halibrand quickchange out back. Oh, I almost forgot, a set of Edmunds lettered knock-off style hubcaps on my 35 ford wires. I'm done and it's past my bed time.

For my 29 sport coupe I have a early 331 hemi with a weiand 6x2 with 6 strombergs and sp tops, offy adapter and a lasalle short shaft stick- autolite insulators

For my 49 Ford- 390 cad, 4-2 cragar intake, cragar adapter to 57 ford stick, scheifer aluminum flywheel and a 57 ford rear-

For my 34 Ford- weiand offset gen bracket, weiand 3 deuce and edmunds heads...

out of all that stuff I guess the short shaft lasalle and the 4x2 cragar are the most rare...

Don't kow if this counts but here in GA we are allowed to run vintage tags up to 1970.

On my truck i'm running a 1940 GA 1/2 ton truck tag.

On the coupe i'll be running a 1930 GA tag that was still in the shipping envelope and never ran.

I'm building a flathead for the truck and a friend has a set of edelbrock block letter heads that will be going on it.

Thanks for the pictures. The exhaust manifold on your two port head is quite different than the one on mine.

Well, I have this assortment of human body replacement parts that I have been trying to figure out how to use in my car. So far I am thinking one of the hip s for a shifter.

the blue light on the back of the vicky says "ok to pass" when it lights up.
the 2x4 intake for the desoto was almost impossible to find.

    weird!

  26. Well not really a hot rod and not really a car part but that wood box is an 80+ year old typesetters box from the KC Star.

I don't have a good pic to post but the gearshift knob in the Pusher is one that I've had for about 45 years (since I was about 4 or 5 years old). Nuthin rare about it its just a round white knob made out of something other than palstic, lost of weather cracks and stains. I can't count how many cars I've had it in, its my luckey gearshift knob. A friend of my dad had it in his roadster I liked it I think anywhay he peeled it out and handed it to me.

So far not much other the original 1930 parts on the car, is that vintage enough and an old 7up bottle opener like the Coke Cola ones but this one is green and red. I've never seen another one like it. I have an old hip prosthesis too but I wouldn't use it in my car. I agree that adding the old stuff is cool/artistic and sets the car apart from others. That airplane switch would be cool to have under the seat.:D
