I am building a 30 model a sedan and I got a ford explorer disc brake rear end for it. when I channeled the body the calipers hit the body and the tires rub the the quarters. looking for a new wider rear end. Any suggestions? what are you guys using?

57 chevy old 12 bolt front loader being used on a 28 sedan. Still needed to use wheel spacers and cut the body for axle space.

I looked at some chevy truck rear ends then found an early eighties chev van it is 60" from backing plate to backing plate about 4 inches wider than the truck axle has anyone gone this route or is it too wide?
