OK got some pretty strict parameters here:- 53" - 55" wide 5 on 4 3/4" stud pattern (chevy) NO C-Clip axles Handle 300 BHP Must have readily available ratios, 3:0 and 3:5 will be main choices, So what should I be looking for!!!!! Cheers, Stewart.
I'm pretty new to the game, but I'm pretty sure you aren't going to find anything that narrow without narrowing it from something wider. Good luck!
Most small pick-ups are this width. 2WD S-10 is 54 1/2". I would use that if weren't for the C-Clips. Cheers, Stewart.
Try doing a search here, in tech area. there has been a lot of input on this subject-including rearend housing of Fords. C clip is standard for GM. You can always have new studs put in axles, get multilug rims, etc.
Hey Stewart,... If I remember right, some of the old mail jeeps had Dana rear ends with traction lock differentials and they were way narrow,.... A Bronco is to wide eh ? Here is a link with all kind of rear axle withs and particulars,.... http://www.carnut.com/specs/frear.html And heres another,..... http://www.teufert.net/other/rear%20end%20dimensions.htm Does this get you closer to being "GOBSMACKED" ??????
