Would this be a bad time to point out is has a edelbrock carb on it, not fuel injection?

I understand your point. As stated, I didn't think people who did appreciate stock based cars, wouldn't be able to appreciate something different. Plenty of ways of saying that, without being offensive like some members have been.

To answer Your original question; use the STOCK seats, it´s a ´61 4dr Belvedere. It needs to have it´s ´61 4dr Belvedere seats in it. Work Your way around that shifter-issue.
Frankly, Your plan of ´66 Charger buckets and a console will look totally out of place in that car. Sorry. Not to be "negative" but You did ask for opinions on the seats. Mine is to leave well enough alone.

It's definately not the type of car that will be appreciated on THIS forum.
But is is extremely nicely done, well engineered, and probably going to be a
    GREAT car on the road!
I've got a 61 Dodge, and I've been debating whether to do a late Hemi conversion on it. I know it will snowball into a huge project if I do, though, and it might lose it's "soul", if you will. Also not sure I want to take it off the road for as long as it will take, I've got other projects to work on.

Anyway, good luck with it, don't worry about the complainers.....actually I feel a bit bad that you actually put so much work into a four door, I hope you realy like it a LOT and keep it, as you said, they really don't have much value, no matter what the others may say.
    Great job!

Chop, if you decide to do it, let me know. We'd be more than happy to give you pointers on the conversion. This is our 3rd one and we'll be doing a 4th here soon to a nash. If you're able to get the pieces in advance, it's really not that bad. Obviously we got carried away.

Sauli, thanks for the feedback. I agree now that the charger seats won't work. After going over the car again this morning, we're going to leave the stock back seat in the car. I will change the front seats over the buckets to accommodate the shifter and build a console. I appreciate the constructive non attacking feedback people have given. Nothing wrong with an opinion, just no need to get so personal, it's just a car.

Also chop, don't worry, any car that my father and I work on together will never leave my collection. I don't own cars for their value. This is a hobby to me, as such I don't invest money into them that would require me to sell them. I would never put my family in a bad spot over a car addiction.
