Purchaser doesn’t on this 36 cabriolet…other than inevitable “Dodge” any ideas. ( I know it looks it in the photo but the grille surround is not chrome it is blue and it’s morning sun reflection off a white building). IMG_6130.jpeg IMG_6129.jpeg IMG_6128.jpeg

I agree. But, what are the odds it is really from the universal answer "Dodge"?

They weren't on all 39 Dodge cars though they were on the D11 Luxary liner. This one on Ebay as an example. Screenshot (218).png

It is a bit odd. No windshield frame. It almost looks as if they tried to do a vee'd windshield ...with that bent gl***???

Do you mean the top of the rear quarters as well?

Looks like a 37 with 36 grille and hood sides added. A mish-mosh.

    ...Mish-mash for sure, but I think it is a '36 with '37 head-lights.

37 style pancake hood. 36 is a fold up, no?

...True. I just think the hood has been modified. Look at the rear fender images. Feels like a '36 body to me.:)

I should have never posted a photo of the car. The new owner called it a 36 but the headlights are 37 and so was the dash and the way the hood opened so could easily be a 37 with a 36 grille but kept the 37 fenders by the original builder.(not a ft clip change) …it’s a very nice “CUSTOM” car from the Midwest purchased bought a buyer at an action and trucked here to SoCal. It’s not a new car.
It’s powered by a SBF that appears stock right down to the air cleaner with factory decals. From what I saw, an auto trans and AC . When he drove it in the top was up and the owner flipped 2 latches and manually put it down.
Funny when guys tried to figure out the tail lights I laughed and told them the standard HAMB answer….Who knew I was right!
