Customs What tail lights are on this 51 mercury ?

What are these tail lights from ?

 

thats a caddy bumper (52 or 53 i think) with a custom taillight made from the chrome section over the bumper

 

i would have to concur with Kustom....

 

Isn't that Mick (StrayKat)s car? Before it became a 2 dr?

It is a '53 Caddy back bumper with tailights cut out of the top part of the bumper.
I saw a Caddy in California (last picture) that did this and I thought that it would
look kool on '51 Merc quarters. It was very easy to do. I cut out the openning
that was pleasing to the eye and used red plexi glass to cover the openning. During
the recent rebuild Ralph Schindel improved them by placing '48 Chevy LED taillights
on the back side. Now they can see my brake lights..... Sometime, Kool can be easy
and not expensive

Here is the Merc they way it is today with two less doors. New grill and a '53 Merc
dash. Ralph Schindel did the body work for me and I still kan't get over the results....
