we got both the early hilux and the stout, they are completley different trucks. I used to have a stout great truck so tuff

 

Say what you want about it being Japanese, but there is some fine fabrication work there. I saw one of these in a junk yard not far from here. I thought about snagging the headlight bezels for some project in the future. I just wanted to sit back and let people guess what they were from.

Those are the headlight bezels I wanted. I think they'd be pretty cool angled and molded into some sort of big sled front fenders.

Domestic cl***ics in their own country are always cool, especially '6o's utes done as G***ers. Jap or not, Stouts are strong, stylish little trucks.

 

This goes to show anything can be cool and to each his own. I think the newer generation of rodders will bring more of this style of rod, if it can be called that. I dig it!

 

i'd love to have one of those trucks, and that one is well built...but I'd also take an old datsun 510, 620, or likewise...or a killer VW...
