In my job I occasionally run across car parts in the river or partially buried along the banks. Today I was trudging through the snow and found what looked to be model T fenders and some other s****, all way too far gone to save. This piece stuck my curiosity due to the emblem. The area has a railroad and mining history, so my thought was maybe a fender skirt from an early TT. Look familiar to anyone?
You guys are probably right. Bummer. I was hoping for a cool wall hanger. I'll have to go back in spring after the snow melts to look at the fenders again. Maybe something worthy of wall space is still there.
It still might be a cool wall hanging, until someone tells you exactly what it is. Then you can take it down.
Post pics of the other stuff in the Spring. Your idea of "not worth saving" and others could be a lot different. I've had people tell me that and it turned out to just be a rust hole that could be repaired.
Most of the visible parts were so far gone and/or full of pin holes that they'd likely crumble in your hands. So probably not savable short of maybe making a pattern. That said, I'll be back when the snow is gone.
