I PICKED THIS UP AT AN AUCTION....HUBBY THOUGHT I WAS NUTS....I THOUGHT IT WAS VERY UNUSUAL.......ANYONE OUT THERE WHO HAS ALL KNOWLEDGE AND CAN HELP ME FIGURE OUT WHAT IT CAME OFF OF AND ITS PURPOSE??? OLD ROADSTER OR TRACTOR??? WHAT DO YOU THINK THE SIDE ATTACHED BUCKETS' PURPOSE WAS....IF YOU NEED MORE PICTURES PLEASE LET ME KNOW....THANKS FOR HELPING TO SETTLE A BET AND ARGUMENT AT THE SAME TIME.......
looks like cool yard art to me, put a flower pot in the bucket and set it in a flower bed or rock garden
My guess is it bolted to an early Model T firewall and likely held a fire extinguiser or something as a firetruck. Here I am drawing at straws again. Sorry, grew up with far too many Model T's and fire trucks at home.
i think you might be the best guess yet.....i should have mentioned that the main stuff at this auction was model t, packard, and vintage tractors....i guess those were the guys favorite things to collect......i just thought that piece was just sooooo different and had to know its history and use....is there a cool website i could go to help me find a picture of it on a vehicle??? thanks so much for the help everyone!!!....
I can't tell you what the part is but you are a keeper for sure! Any woman that will drag stuff home from an auction like that kicks ass! Keep going honey, Tim
OMG!!! if you only knew....i have dragged my hubby back to that place and so far have made six flatbed trailer trips full of "treasures" in my eyes....the last trip i went solo...i think he is losing interest and keeps rolling his eyes.....i still have more trips to make.....i guess i need to upgrade my trailer size someday to save some time....LOL.........
I'll hazard a guess. Imagine a doodle bug with a small harrow on the back. Reach in the bucket and drop a seed in the row before this one. Till and plant on the same fuel. If you were 'dirt poor' it would make a lot of seance.
