This is sticking out of my Ford AOD I think its a electronic speedometer, and if it is, is there any way to use that with my orig 64 Falcon speedometer? can I change it to use a reg speedometer?
Possibly, that may be some type of hall effect device for sending a signal to a speedo, you may end up with a different speedo. Ask these guys, Speedometer Service 414 463 6660, they helped me out of a few odd parts situations.
I think it may be a #7 Pfetzer valve. Seriously though, does the one on your car have a gear on the end of it? The rest of it looks alot like the older regular speedo cable end.
A really, really ***** new type of *** toy??? Mart3406 (who is now lifting his twisted mind back up out of the gutter and placing it firmly back in it's usual place on the curb!) =========================
Thats the acceleration sensor, it's for cruise control, ABS, also known as a VSS or Vehicle Speed Sensor. Any Speedo shop can set you up with the right stuff to make a cable driven speedo work.
You can get the parts you need here... http://www.ford-aod.com/Cl***ic_Mustang_AOD_Transmission_Conversion.htm
I was wondering what is was also. I pick up a C4 with one of them stuck in the speedo cable hole. The guy was running it in a late model Mustang.
finally got this one figured out guys . Thanx alot. i thought it really was a *** toy . No wonder the ole lady has been off afew miles .
