Real name is Curtis, but when I lapse into my country boy drawl my friends call me Cleatus (I think I spelled it wrong). I'm told that the more relaxed or buzzed I get the more I sound like I fell off a turnip truck.

Don't know why I talk like a hick sometimes - I guess cause I grew up in Nebraska, but I don't remember people talkin funny there?

  4. A few years ago I jumped into my 360 sprint car after not racing for 19 years...concentrating on building. I won the first race. Guys started calling me "Johnny Fast". Not long after that I did a favor for a friend's wife and, at the coffee shop gathering, she told everyone how "sweet" I was. I've been "Sweet Johnny Fast" ever since. [IMG]

I'm proud of the state of TEXAS, I love it. I also like HARDCORE music (Melodic Metal, ect.). Anyways, it's just a name I use on message boards. Some friends call me Texas Hardcore.

Oh and I like alot of music. Texas Music, Americana, Country, Classic Rock, Metal, Indie, Emo, and even a little freestyle type shit. Some favorites are Dwight Yoakum, Johnny Cash, The 3 Hanks, Max Stalling, Robert Earl Keen, Ray Wylie Hubbard, The Toadies, and all my friends are in various local bands, mostly punk, rock, hardcore, indie.
and I heard some bytes of BLEED on my slow computer, I dig it. Anyways, I'm open minded about music.

  8. When the new sales guy, where I usta work, first laid eyes on me, he looked at my loooong hair, looooooooong beard, round blue-lensed glasses, skinny body and Hoss Cartright hat, shook his head and said "Rocky Mountain High".. as per the John Denver song that was popular at the time...
I think he may have thought I looked somewhat like a damn hippy...That was my new name there from that point, on. When I went to work selling parts at a bidness just down the street, my name followed me there. All my customers and the people I worked for and with all thought my real name was Rocky.
The name even followed me out here to the midwest! I'm Rocky to just about everybody except my wife who lovingly refers to me as "Hey you". And they call me Wayne at work.
That guy that originally called me Rocky Mountain High, was Dennis Moore, who went on to buy a salvage yard in Rio Linda California [Moore's auto parts] and become famous...at least in Rio Linda.
    Ain'tcha glad ya asked?

I had a pun tatood on my forearm a few years ago that expressed my almost religious love for cars, buildings and furniture of a certain horizontal proportion. Tatoos are dumb. Puns are dumber. So I thought why not combine them?

Donnie - get to work, man.

  29. Look at my Avatar and you can see.

I was building my Model A pickup shortly after I moved to
Tx. My folks came down to visit and I was trying to figure
out what to call my project. I had rattle canned the car
Black already. My mom came up with flt-blk and thought it
would make a good license plate.

All of this was before I found the HAMB, it seems kind of cliche now. Oh well what are you gonna do, too late to change now.
