what the hell is wrong with welding the back two doors of a 4 door shut

i dont get it somebody inform me about this
thats not cool messin up a 2 door to make ur 4 into 2
my my pa had a 4 door custom merc in the early 50s and thats what him and his buddies did he said it took about a whole batch of welding rod but it didnt look any diffrent from the rest
but im sure some bodys got somethin to say

 

you can do whatever you damn please to your car.

If you have a 4 door and you weld the back doors shut, it will look like a 4 door with the back doors welded shut. It won't look like a 2 door, because 2 door doors are longer than 4 door front doors.

 

lots people fill in the back 2 doors of a 4. seen lotsa good jobs and look great...
