These dual coil setups really work great, we have used several different types on v8s. Very reliable and smooth stable spark up to almost 9k rpm.
Funny you mention that, I’m using a Mallory base with a four lobe cam to build a one-off dual cap/dual coil ignition system with mechanical tach drive for my injected ardun engine. Kind of a poor mans rotofaze…
This is a great informative thread. When it comes to dual cap distributors, this ( MILLER ) dual cap distributor really caught my attention on the Eddie Miller Jr. Lakester.
